Philadelphia Parking Authority: Reform policies to serve the citizens of Philadelphia

Philadelphia Parking Authority: Reform policies to serve the citizens of Philadelphia
The Issue
PPA has insane polices and practices that are focused on making a profit instead of providing and maintaining effective parking practices in Philadelphia. They regulate parking that benefits their profits i.e. expanding paid parking windows up until 12am in nightlife areas, fines for inspection tickets while parked (including in front of your home), and extremely high penalties for basic parking violations, and extremely confusing and difficult to read signs. PPA needs to reform their profit based policies and actually provide a service for Philadelphia citizens. With all the money they make you would think they would open some discounted parking garages in the city. Year after Year they strengthen their regulations to boost profits. It also seems as if the parking enforcers are paid by commision they can at times be seemingly ruthless. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!
