Thank you for all of your signatures and comments! This petition has received amazing support from the arts and culture community of Philadelphia, proving how important the overall creative economy is not only to our lives but to the entire city's life and recovery.

The next few weeks will be very important to reaching our goal and saving the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy. Philadelphia City Council began budget hearings on Monday, May 19. They will last until June 10. Public testimony for general operating budget matters will be heard on June 9. I plan on submitting to give testimony on this matter on that date. I have also begun to deliver this petition, signatures, and comments to various council members. (Last week's council meeting was canceled.)

What can you do? Well, engage with your council member and let them know that saving the OACCE is important to you and why. The Philadelphia Cultural Fund, which is funded by the OACCE's budget, created an easy online tool to send council members a message:
