We the undersigned urge First Manchester to reconsider removing the 519 service that serves Johnson Fold.

Under the proposals the 519 and 520 will be scrapped and the 501 will serve the estate onto lightbounds. Transport for greater Manchester has confirmed that under these proposals there will be no service from the estate serving Chorley Old Road and essentially making vulnerable , elderly and disabled people , plus families with young children and commuters walk across the estate to Chorley Old Road to get a 125 ( Or pay first to get across the estate on the 501 and pay again for the 125)  if they need to get to appointments on Chorley Old road or do shopping at the supermarkets or shops on that section of the road.

Secondly the cost implications for estate residents needs to be addressed as currently it is £1.30 to town from Johnson Fold on the 519/20 compared with £1.70 on the 501.

We urge First Manchester as a community to reconsider the implementation of this proposal and to at Least hold a public meeting to address residents concerns
