Lauren Southern is a Canadian journalist, author, political activist,  and documentary filmmaker. She is well known for her commentary on feminism, free speech, and immigration. A petition has been started by the Muslim community in NZ addressed to Immigration NZ to try and shut down her event and stop her from speaking. This is a very dangerous path to go down and slipper slope to go down. Her views are not far off from the views a lot of NZers hold. Regardless of whether you agree with her we can not let people shut down speech simply because they disagree with it. Fascism has no place in NZ.
