Between the years 1998 to 2011, the New York Mets had the most fearsome uniforms in baseball. The men donning the orange and blue in New York opted for a subtle and sleek look of the alternate black jerseys. New York Met legends such as Mike Piazza, Carlos Beltran, John Olerud, David Wright, Carlos Delgado, Johan Santana, and many more have worn the all-black throughout the lifespan of the uniform. Unfortunately, the Mets retired the jersey in order to unveil a blue alternate jersey. While keeping with traditional Met colors, the blue is far more playful than the all-black and far less Queens. This petition is written in order to restore the black alternate jersey back into the New York Met uniform rotation.
