When abuse of a trusted position in power acted in self-interest, it is unfair to the members and it

"Yes, I feel guilty for not challenging the norm sometimes; instead, like many of my colleagues, I just followed the procedure and instruction expected of us for the sake of temporary peace. Fortunately, we have few members who are taking insight and courage to question the authority as to why are things done the way that they are?

When abuse of a trusted position in power acted in self-interest, it is unfair to the members and it is detrimental to the public’s trust. Professional ethics standard effects on the members’ career growth; and ineffective regulator leads members to moral degradation, bad faith and incompetence. When regulator’s actions that are lack of transparency and the political will to control is insufficient, it enables non-transparent, incomplete legislation, where laws can be interpreted in a way for the benefit of the party in power (regulator) and the interest of the members (regulated) become compromised."

Thanks to a concerned member to standing up for a good cause.
