Whether we like it or not, we are fast approaching a new world order where unthinkable atrocities could become a norm. Despots and tyrants will endeavour to rule swathes of the World, and society as we know it will be challenged as never before, even eclipsing the Great Wars, such is the power of resources available to dissidents, despots, and religious zealots.

This international phenomenon has special significance for the future of Policing in Victoria and elsewhere. We are not immune, no matter how much we might wish. 

Wishing is the purview of deniers, not realists.
