We are facing the most sweeping federal cell tower preemption proposal in U.S. history.

Action Needed: The FCC & Congress Together are Pushing Cell Tower Fast-Track Rules

Dear Friends,

We have 2 important updates.

The FCC has officially published its cell tower fast-tracking proposal— 25-276—in the Federal Register.

This starts the 30-day countdown!

Not only that, but Congress is considering a Bill H.R. 2289 which, like the FCC rules, would strip local and state control, eliminate environmental and historic reviews and allow automatic approvals for cell antennas to any structure that “could support transmission equipment”– for example, utility poles, light poles, buildings, overhead wires, apartments, houses, schools, buildings, and more.

The FCC and Congressional proposals are together the most sweeping cell tower preemption proposal in U.S. history. This is an unprecedented federal takeover of community land-use decisions—affecting schools, homes, parks, historic districts, and communities across the nation.

WE MUST PRESERVE LOCAL CONTROL!

Take TWO Critical Actions Today

1.Contact Congress about H.R. 2289
The House Energy and Commerce  Committee will hold a full committee markup of fifteen bills, including H.R. 2289, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Your members of Congress need to hear from you right now. TAKE ACTION

 2. Submit Comments to the FCC

We have created a way for you to submit individual comments to the FCC in one easy step. The FCC filing process can be complicated, but with our one-click tool, you can submit in just a few minutes, and your letter will be mailed so that it becomes a part of the FCC record.  TAKE ACTION
