Dear Signatories, Donald Trump has provided us with four additional grounds for censure, including the following: 35. By attempting to fire Special Counsel Mueller in June 2017, Trump demonstrated his intent and desire to continue to obstruct justice by interfering with Mueller’s criminal investigation of Trump and his cohorts. 36. Accusing the top leadership of his own administration’s Justice Department and the FBI of favoring Democrats against Republicans at a time when he and other White House officials are under investigation for obstruction of justice and aiding Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, and Trump’s former National Security Advisor has pled guilty to lying to the FBI. 37. Improperly invoking his presidential powers to declassify material, thereby facilitating release of a congressional memo, over the objections of federal law enforcement, designed to undermine the Mueller investigation of Trump’s presidential campaign. 38. Calling Democrats “un-American” and guilty of “treason” during a speech Trump delivered on February 5, 2018, for not applauding his recent State of the Union address.
