STR Petition Update

STR Petition Update Monday night, I formally hand delivered the petition to the Poultney Planning Commission during the Select Board meeting. The petition was provided as a working petition and remains active, meaning the copy delivered reflects the signatures collected as of that time, while additional residents and property owners can continue to sign. At the time it was delivered, the petition had 185 signatures. As of today, we are already up to 215 signatures and still growing! 215 signatures is an impressive amount of support for a town the size of Poultney, and it sends a strong message that a significant number of residents and property owners want their voices heard on this issue. For transparency purposes, copies were also provided to the Poultney Select Board and the Poultney Journal, so there is a clear public record of the petition and the community support behind it. If you or someone you know are a Poultney resident or property owner, agree with the petition, and haven’t signed yet, you can still sign and share it. Assist your friends, family and neighbors that aren't tech savvy sign the petition if they agree. The petition will remain open until September 16th, which is the next planning commission meeting.
