As you know, our neighborhood is at a critical crossroads. SK hynix has started work on the foundation of their building at the corner of Kalberer and Salisbury Streets, without waiting for the Court's final ruling. The Judge did NOT grant their request to dismiss the lawsuit. He wants to hear more information from our side! He has set a trial date. Now the real detail work begins for our attorney. While there are never any guarantees, he believes we can win and force Hynix to take down the work being done -but he needs to get going. He needs to hire an environmental expert to testify to the judge about the dangers of PFAS to our community. We need to keep funding the lawsuit. The plaintiffs represent all of us.

The expert witness charges $325 per hour and the attorney estimates it will be $40,000 for the expert to visit the site, draft his report and then testify to the court. If we all chip in, we can hire the expert and keep our attorney on the case. He prevailed in keeping a data center out of Pittsboro earlier this year and has won a case against the City of West Lafayette in the past. He has what it takes to lead us.
All donations are disbursed directly to the attorney for our fight. This case is already a year old and the battle to prove we have the right to even file a case has been expensive, but we are making headway.
