Dear Friends and Community Memebers,
We did it! At the APC (Area Plan Commission) meeting, the committee voted to give a recommendation of NO on the Z2969-rezoning for SK Hynix! This is a huge win for our community, and it wouldn’t have been possible without every single person who signed the petition, spoke out, attended meetings, and fought to protect our neighborhoods. Thank you all for standing together!
A Special Thanks to the APC Committee
We deeply appreciate the APC members for listening to the community's concerns and voting in favor of public health, safety, and responsible development. Their decision shows that when a community speaks up, decision-makers do listen.
What’s Next? We Need to Ask City Council to Vote NO on April 7!
The APC’s recommendation is a powerful statement, but the final decision rests with the West Lafayette City Council on April 7, 2025. We must now turn our focus to them.
- Keep signing and sharing the petition. Every additional signature strengthens our message. If you haven’t signed yet, now is the time!
- Consider sending a thank-you message to the APC Committee (apc@tippecanoe.in.gov) to express appreciation for their thoughtful consideration and decision.
- Reach out to City Council members (find their emails here or please see below) to respectfully ask them to follow the APC’s recommendation and vote against the rezoning.
- Share this update with others in the community to ensure more voices are heard before the final decision is made.

Key Message for City Council:
- The APC, our city’s own Area Plan Commission, has already recommended against this rezoning.
- The community overwhelmingly opposes this rezone (1,200+ petition signatures).
- City Council should carefully consider the APC’s recommendation and the concerns of local residents.
This fight isn’t over, but tonight, we celebrate a major victory. Let’s keep the momentum going and make sure our voices are heard before April 7!
