The public hearing is currently scheduled during Purdue’s and West Lafayette public schools’ spring break (March 19, 2025), making it difficult for many residents to attend and voice concerns. We need to request the APC to reschedule it to a time when the community can fully participate.

I am writing to request the postponement of the public hearing for Rezoning Z-2969 (Northeast corner of Kalberer Rd & Yeager Rd, R1 to I3), currently scheduled for March 19, 2025.

This date coincides with Purdue University’s and West Lafayette public schools’ spring break, making it difficult for many impacted residents to attend and voice their concerns. Given the significant impact on the surrounding neighborhoods and strong community opposition—over 700 residents have already signed a petition against the rezoning—it is crucial that this hearing be held at a time when the public can fully participate.

We respectfully ask APC to reschedule the hearing to a later date that allows for greater community involvement in this important decision.
