Greetings all,

It is sometimes said that good things take time, and it has now been almost 3 months since our petition was accepted by Tauranga City Council. I caught up with Cr Morris from Papamoa on Saturday, and he informed me that both letters requested have been drafted, & will be considered by Councillors on 18 November, with the meeting beginning at 8:30am, not 9:30am. The agenda for this meeting should be available on the TCC website this Wednesday 12 November, with both drafts included in it. Please take the time to review them, and contact either myself or your local ward councillor with any edits you think are appropriate. I have not been contacted by TCC staff or Mayor Mahe even once since presenting the petition, so have had no input into their contents. That said, I remain cautiously optimistic that they will be worded in a manner that reflects the intent of our petition. Thank you for your patience, I will provide a further update on Thursday.

Kind regards,

Rob
