Greetings all,

Tomorrow it will be 2 full months since Mayor Mahe Drysdale shook my hand, and promised that he would put what we requested in the petition to a vote before Tauranga City Council. Since then I have heard nothing further from him, in spite of two emails & several phone calls to TCC (other than one email from a TCC staff member 2 weeks later asking for the names, which I promptly replied with). Four full TCC meetings have been held since this date, where our petition could have been presented, but wasn’t.

It would appear, that in spite of having more signatures than required to convince councillors to spend $10,000 on a rainbow crossing, we are being ignored. Which leads me to once again ask for your help. Please take a few minutes to email Mr Drysdale’s office, remind him that we are only asking him to write two letters, and perhaps ask him to explain the delay. mayor@tauranga.govt.nz
As angry as some of you may feel about his inaction, please keep in mind something a wise man once told me;
”You catch a lot more bees with honey than vinegar” 😉

Thank you again for your support 😊
