Dear Co-Petitioners,

The Laity over a period of time had emailed, posted via registered mail, contacted via phone, signed petitions, organised silent protests and Rosary protests, talked to the Bishop for appointment after mass, provided fraternal correction and prayers, went through the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), and Parish Finance Council (PFC) and we have yet to secure the requested documents and private meeting with our Bishop, Vincent Long, in relation with this petition.

We thank Rev Fr Peter Williams for his efforts in trying to help and appease the faithful.

In the 4-5 October 2020 Sunday Bulletin of  St Patrick’s Cathedral Parish, the interim Dean, Rev Fr Peter Williams, had issued a statement vindicating Fr Robert “Bob” Bossini, the St Pat’s Parish Finance Management team and St Patrick’s Cathedral Parish from the fabricated accusation of misappropriation and mishandling of funds, which caused the unjust removal and bullying of our former Dean and Parish Priest Fr Robert Bossini (Fr Bob).

In this one-liner statement, Rev Fr Peter Williams wrote:

It is important for parishioners to note that the KPMG report did not amongst its findings and recommendations suggest that there had been any misappropriation or mishandling of funds.

The laity appreciate Fr Peter Williams’ offer to discuss questions but without releasing the full documents, the transparency and accountability against the Diocese of Parramatta will not be satisfied.

Bishop Long and the leaders of the Parramatta Diocese are still adamantly refusing to apologise publicly to Fr Robert Bossini, the Parish Finance Management Team and the Laity.

What the Diocesan leaders of Parramatta failed to realise is, there was never any doubt of Fr Bossini’s nor the Parish Finance team’s integrity. The laity was questioning the Diocesan leaders’ suspicious and tainted actions and seemingly lack of integrity and transparency.

We thank Rev Fr Peter Williams, for his willingness to release the KPMG report.  However, this report will not be clear and truthful if other documents stated in our petition are not all released.  We also thank him for his statement. We pray that he continues to stay faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Questions now to Bishop Vincent Long are:

1.  Why is the Bishop still refusing to be transparent? His office confirmed that the petition was received and postal tracker confirmed their receipt on 7 July.  Where is our response? Any reasonable person would voluntarily release documents to clear their name from allegations against them?

2. Why was Fr Bob unjustly removed from office?  The bishop has no right to remove or transfer him as he has a fixed term of office.  We demand clear and detailed explanations.

Canon law:   Fr Robert Bossini’s contract was to officially expire in September 2020. He was removed 5 July 2020 due to fabricated accusations as per the letter of Bishop Long dated 27 May 2020, Fr Bob’s letter and as per the parish meeting held  in June 2020 which has been recorded.

The below canon law showed that the ecclesiastical office is stable especially conferred for a definite period of time.  They cannot be removed except for a just cause.

Can. 145 §1. An ecclesiastical office is any function constituted in a stable manner by divine or ecclesiastical ordinance to be exercised for a spiritual purpose.

Can. 193 §2. The same is valid for the removal of a person from an office conferred for a definite period of time before this time has elapsed, without prejudice to the prescript of can. 624, §3.

§3. A person upon whom an office is conferred at the prudent discretion of a competent authority according to the prescripts of the law can, upon the judgment of the same authority, be removed from that office for a just cause.

3. Why is the Bishop of Parramatta, the Curia and Tony Jose and other Diocesan officers refusing to apologise?  Doesn’t this just boost the allegations of bullying of Priests, employees and laity and the allegations of corruption of the Diocesan Leaders and officers? We demand an apology.

4. Why did Fr Peter Williams refuse to remove the Chair of the Parish Finance Committee, Anthony Khoury, who clearly has a conflict of interest in his business dealings with the Parish and Diocese. The petition by our parishioners asking Anthony Khoury to resign was also brought up during the Parish Finance Committee and Parish Pastoral Council meetings and were rejected by the dean, Peter Williams.  Canon 221.1 and 212.2 clearly gives the right of the laity to be heard.

5. Why did the Diocese put the St Patrick’s Cathedral Parish into administration and placed a bankruptcy clause in the report when the overdraft was actually inherited by the Parish from the previous administration and was traced to be the expenses of the Diocese and not the Parish?

6. Why did the Diocese spend $25,000 to hire KPMG instead of instructing Tony Jose to follow the normal audit process? Based on the report the Diocese provided for the Parish Meeting in June 2020, there was only a two-digit discrepancy.  We recorded this meeting for evidence and with permission.

Bishop Vincent Long and the Diocesan Leaders are yet to give a clear and detailed explanation to the laity and apologise sincerely.

----------

The Bishop during the PPC meeting asked the laity to give them time in order to release the documents by September. We remained silent and waited as per instruction.

-        During this time, the LGBIT or the de Souza/Whitby/Maher school curriculum, which was tested in some schools in February 2020, was exposed.

-        Many Priests, bishops, nuns, laity, even local and international newspapers defended the teachings of our Lord and condemned the curriculum.  Priests who came out to pastor the laity and expose the immoral, offensive and deceitful 2019 de Souza/Whitby/Maher curriculum were silenced.

On 5 October, Franciscan Priest Fr Pascal and Brother Louis Marie Schmidt were removed from their office in Kellyville. They are now in Melbourne and like Fr Robert Bossini are fighting for the unjust removal, treatment and bullying tactics of the Parramatta Diocesan leaders.

The Laity has formed several groups (to name a few):

Save St Patrick’s Cathedral Parish                  The Laity Advocacy Group

The Laity Prayer Group                                     Christian Lives Matters

The Heart of Parramatta  - gathered over 4,000 signatures for the removal of Bishop Long.  https://www.change.org/p/diocese-of-parramatta-remove-bishop-vincent-long-from-the-office-of-parramatta

A formal petition to the Apostolic Signatura by the laity to remove Bishop Vincent Long and Vicar General Christopher de Souza is being prepared.

A Pamphlet (photo above) exposing what is happening in Parramatta is currently being circulated.  It summarises everything that is occurring in the Catholic Churches and Schools in Parramatta Diocese.  Part II regarding the corruption allegations will shortly be distributed.

PAMPHLET TITLED: THE SMOKE OF SATAN IN PARRAMATTA DIOCESE- LEADERS PLOT TO DESTROY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND TEACHINGS?

Let us unite in prayers and pray for a true shepherd of God to lead Parramatta Diocese.  Pray for all the bullied Priests and laity who stood up in defence of the Catholic teachings and faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Finally, I was told that Fr Bossini, a true and faithful shepherd of our Lord Jesus Christ and Blessed Virgin Mary, now serves at Our Lady of Rosary Fairfield.

Jhesus +++ Maria
