A letter below to the BB community from the President stating there is misinformation spreading.
No misinformation WE DO NOT WANT ANY PARKING OR CARS IN THE NATURE PRESERVE BETYOND THE YELLOW GATE, THAT WOULD BE BAGLEY ROAD as Matt Harris states. We agree no parking in streets we vote for a parking garage in the front of the park. BB is causing the parking issues they need to solve them without taking away city greenspace.
Dear Buckhead Baseball Community,
As a reminder, please attend the meeting tonight, structured as an “open house,” from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Atlanta International School Auditorium (2890 N Fulton Drive, Atlanta, GA 30305). The “open house” is being sponsored by the City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation and will include not only the Buckhead Baseball community, but the broader Atlanta community and City officials. Please drop by for a few minutes to show your support for the league and park, as the main topic for discussion involves parking and traffic alternatives.
Note that our plan includes 90 +/- new parking spots at Bagley Park (down Bagley Street) to provide relief when parking is limited on weekends in the Spring, and Sundays in the Fall, which will allow more families to park in Historic Bagley Park instead of parking on public streets.
There is a great deal of misinformation on this topic being distributed on various forms of media. Please ask a Buckhead Baseball representative about this when you see them tonight. We really need your support as we don’t think that that offsite parking is a good solution for our families, and we believe our plans provide the most practical and economically viable option to assist with parking needs at peak traffic times. Further, any plans that take away spots from our current parking program would negatively impact the 72 year old recreational baseball league we all love.
Kids, players (both past, present, and future) and family members are welcome to join!
Hope to see you tonight!
Sincerely,
Matt Harris
President, Buckhead Baseball, Inc.
