At the last meeting, the BOE committee review recommended removing the "Mandatory" designation. Our BOE has now acknowledged that this policy is NOT mandatory.

Gubernatorial candidate Bill Spadea clearly and unambiguously stated his position to abolish Policy 5756 at the last debate. See the link below:

The Edison School District repealed their version of 5756 the following week. This is the right move and is happening across New Jersey. While no action was taken at BRRSD, we look forward to BOE taking the next right step.
