Hi everyone,
I would not recommend voting for the BC NDP under David Eby’s leadership if a snap election is called. I am calling for political change because of my concerns about affordability, disability support, healthcare, public safety, land rights, and what I see as broken promises from previous elections.
In my view, previous election commitments have not translated into enough meaningful improvements. Promises about affordability, healthcare, and safer communities must be judged by results. Public trust depends on following through and taking responsibility when commitments are not met.
People deserve to afford housing, groceries, and basic necessities without facing financial hardship.
I am calling for a meaningful increase in B.C. Persons with Disabilities (PWD) assistance rates for 2027, followed by annual cost-of-living adjustments. Leaving these rates unchanged in 2027 would be unacceptable. People with disabilities deserve dignity and financial security.
Healthcare must also be a priority. We need better access to family doctors, shorter waits for emergency care, specialists and treatment, reliable hospital services, and accessible mental health support.
I am also concerned about crime and community safety. Any increases in violent crime, theft, or repeat offending must be addressed with effective action and transparent reporting. People deserve to feel safe in their homes, businesses, on public transit, and in public spaces. We need effective crime prevention, responsive policing, support for victims, and accessible addiction treatment and mental health services.
I also want transparency, accountability, and meaningful public consultation on decisions affecting land and property rights.
In my view, David Eby and the BC NDP have not done enough to earn continued support. I am asking voters not to vote for the BC NDP under his leadership. We deserve a government that listens, honours its commitments, and delivers meaningful improvements.
