It has been brought to my attention along with many others that the school policy is overriding and going against WI State Statute 786.36 sections 1 and more importantly 4 stating clearly that minors OVER THE AGE OF 14 do NOT need parental consent to change their name. 

If anyone has the time or ability to do some digging in attempts to find something like this for pronouns we could have our case made and set to reverse this. 

If you have the time and/or confidence to do so, contact the Wisconsin department of education filing a complaint about Germantown Highschool going against this statute. it is very important that we act fast before it is too late for students to have their privacy.
