IMPORTANT UPDATE:

894 SIGNATURES AND GROWING!
Sebastian City Council Meeting - Monday, October 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM
Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition! We now have 894 signatures, and our voices
are getting stronger every day!
We encourage all affected homeowners to attend Monday's Sebastian City Council meeting.
We already have the sewer feasibility study. Now we need answers and, more importantly, solutions.
Questions we need answered:
1. What is the City's plan for homeowners who cannot connect to sewer before the 2030 deadline?
2. If extending sewer service to affected neighborhoods is not financially or practically feasible before 2030, will
the City work with Indian River County and state legislators to secure funding for homeowners required to
install nitrogen-reducing septic systems?
3. Will the City actively support grants, financial assistance, and hardship programs for seniors, retirees, and
fixed-income homeowners?
4. Will the City join residents in requesting that the State of Florida fund this unfunded mandate?
5. What specific actions will the City take to protect homeowners from being financially overwhelmed by these
requirements?
Meeting Details
Date: Monday, October 12, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Sebastian City Hall, 1225 Main Street, Sebastian, FL 32958
We all want to protect the Indian River Lagoon, but homeowners should not be forced into financial hardship to
comply with a state mandate without adequate funding.
894 signatures represent 894 voices demanding answers, assistance, and action!
Please attend if you can, continue sharing our petition, and encourage your neighbors to get involved.
Together, we can make a difference
