Petition updatePope Francis:
CHANGE CHURCH LGBTQI LANGUAGEFeaturing Petition at Dublin Pride on 30 June 2018

We Are Church Ireland

Jun 28, 2018
Love is why we are marching.
Dear Supporters,
If you think it’s all over - think again!
The oppression of LGBT people continues despite positive actions by government and society.
The world’s largest church is the Roman Catholic Church with 1.3 billion members. And it continues to promote homophobic theology around the world, referring to LGBT people as “Objectively Disordered” and homosexual acts as “Intrinsically Evil”.
So please do join us for this years historic Dublin Pride March with the theme "We Are Family” to include all families (unlike the World Meeting of Families where only one type of family will be celebrated).
This is for everyone, whether you are an atheist, agnostic, or religious, young or old.
Mary McAleese and her family (including her mother in a wheelchair), our Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Minister Katherine Zappone, along with some 30,000 others will be marching. Among those marching behind the "We Are Church" banner will be Vincent Browne, Fr Bernárd Lynch and Ursula Halligan.
WAC Ireland have a large banner and 25 Rainbow umbrellas plus posters and leaflets promoting the petition to Pope Francis to Change Church's LGBTQI Language.
We meet on the south side of St Stephen’s Green at 1pm on Saturday, 30th of June 2018. The march starts at 2pm from there to Smithfield.
If you would like to join us please email Colm Holmes at colmholmes2020@gmail.com My mobile number is 086 606 3636 if you want to locate our group on the day.
