Proposed Revisions to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) 4(d) Rule for the African Elephant:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service published a proposal to revise the African Elephant rule on July 29, 2015.
Voice your support/concerns by visiting:
http://www.regulations.gov/.
In the search box, enter:
FWS-HQ-IA-2013-0091 (docket number for proposed rule)
You may submit a comment by clicking on “Comment Now!” The Service will review and consider all comments received by September 28, 2015 before publishing a final rule.
The proposed provisions do not call for a complete ban but the restrictions would be more significant than they are today. It's a step in the right direction!
United For Wildlife!
Sincerely,
