Our country is being ripped apart by the reckless, authoritarian leadership of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. The evidence of their unfitness is mounting—and it's deadly.

Recent events:

• 129+ people are dead after the Central Texas floods. Entire families were swept away. Local officials had requested independent warning systems months ago, but Trump slashed funding for emergency preparedness. He praised the “response” while ignoring the fact that his own policies contributed to this preventable tragedy.

• Trump deployed 700 Marines to Los Angeles during anti-ICE protests, attempting to crush dissent. A federal judge ruled the move illegal. This is the playbook of a dictator.

• Seventeen inspectors general were fired in one night. That’s 17 independent watchdogs, erased from office to eliminate transparency and silence oversight.

• J.D. Vance said nothing. He has aligned himself with every one of Trump’s authoritarian moves—excusing, enabling, and defending him at every turn.

 
We, the undersigned, demand impeachment of both Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance for:

Gross negligence and misconduct in federal disaster management
Unconstitutional militarization of American cities
Deliberate dismantling of government oversight
Complicity in a broader effort to consolidate authoritarian power
 
We are losing our democracy in plain sight.
Lives are being lost. Laws are being broken. Power is being abused.
