Hello Neighbors, Thank you for signing and sharing our petition! Since you have signed, we have had our noses down working hard to understand how, when and why this Ai Data Center in Kenilworth was approved, see updates below. Over the past several months, our group has attended numerous Planning Board, Borough Council meetings, and submitted dozens of OPRA requests related to this project. Through our review of the resulting documents, we have identified what we believe are multiple violations of New Jersey state land-use law, as well as learning there is intent to develop 2 more data centers and a new substation and "We all signed NDAs!" email. We are currently finalizing an engagement agreement with a land use attorney, and as such, have established a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization to support and fund this effort. At this time, we're seeking assistance from like-minded organizations or individuals, given their personal involvement with this fight to help us in the following ways: 1. Outreach and Fundraising: We are looking to partner with a larger following that can amplify our initiative and drive donations to our cause (our website is currently being constructed). 2. Introductions to environmental organizations: Specifically, we're hoping to connect with groups that have existing relationships with environmental experts and attorneys. 3. Community engagement strategy: We would welcome advice on sustaining momentum beyond our current efforts. Currently, we are mainly using Facebook and WhatsApp groups to raise awareness and recruit members to participate. We are also canvassing door to door in Kenilworth each week.
