Thanks for signing. We are well on our way to 1000 signatures, so when that occurs I'm going to print out the petition and mail it to Future Motion.
What I'm thinking though, is that if they see 13 different demands they're gonna stop reading and laugh it off.
Based on everything they've said in the last 2 weeks about patent law, I fear that ceasing legal action against Floatwheel or other competitors isn't gonna happen any time soon, especially not without government intervention.
So, are we the community willing to reduce our demands, in the hopes that they might actually listen? Or keep the petition as-is, and let it fade into obscurity?
Please comment with your thoughts about this request:
• Release Torque specs so independent repair shops can properly repair Onewheels to Future Motion specifications
• Allow independent repair shops to re-level Onewheels (Digi Tilt)
• Add battery cell voltage monitoring safety feature to the Onewheel app
• Add a Duty Cycle safety feature to the Onewheel app
• Allow customers to access critical safety features like changing Ride Modes & Toggling headlights even if they have old Firmware/App versions
I know this is not ideal, but at the same time we have to be realistic... we have zero bargaining power outside of the fact that many of us are vocal on social media. Some of the latest social media buzz, like changing the Discord server channel name to be Floatwheel, is unprecedented. But it's nothing more than a rounding error in Future Motion's bottom line. Maybe if we are polite, and make a few small requests, we might actually achieve something. What do you think?
