Waite Drive Park Gaining Momentum!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition. Because of your support, we are quickly approaching 200 signatures!

 

Every signature sends a message that the families of the Waite Drive neighborhood deserve the park they have been promised for decades. Our children deserve a safe place to play within walking distance of their homes, and our community deserves a gathering space where neighbors can connect, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.

 

As many of you know, Councilwoman Laura Lothian is currently hosting a tour of La Mesa’s parks as part of her campaign for mayor. According to the tour schedule, the final stop will be the future site of Waite Drive Park on September 19th.

 

That gives us a goal.

 

By the time the tour reaches Waite Drive, let’s show our elected officials just how much support exists for this long-overdue project. We are setting an ambitious target of 1,000 signatures by September 19th. Reaching that milestone would demonstrate that this isn’t just the passion of a few residents—it is a community-wide call for action.

 

We’re nearing 200 signatures already, but we need your help to get there. Please continue sharing the petition with your friends, family, neighbors, fellow parents, and anyone who believes every La Mesa neighborhood deserves access to quality parks and open space.

 

Together, we can ensure that when the mayoral park tour arrives at Waite Drive, city leaders are greeted by a clear and undeniable message:
