Today we went to school for the second day of this year. Immediately in roll call 12 girls got called out of the line to have their skirts changed. Girls' whose skirts were deemed acceptable yesterday were taken out today, and told to change into trousers. Girls who refused were sent to AR (all day detention). Today in assembly, the elephant in the room was ignored as the teachers instead discussed a new rule. This is entirely unjust and cruel behaviour. The entire school was discussing the issue today in the corridors, between lessons and online. A consensus was reached that something needs to be done. The petition was spread through word of mouth and online. We need as many people to sign it, since the school won't change anything if we don't do anything.
