It is now the beginning of 2024!  It's been 14 years since I was convicted and 12 years since completing all of what was sentenced.  With the State Pardon I can run for and hold office, be licensed professionally to practice, etc - but I can't go hunting with my two sons, currently serving in the Marines.  I have been deployed to war as a soldier, wounded, returned home and successfully continued to support and defend the country in many ways.  Today, as a clinical mental health counselor working with combat veterans w/PTSD.  

I started a private practice in early 2023 and I am proud to report that it has grown to 20 times its opening size in this year alone and the projected growth for 2024 is about the same rate of change in the positive.  I am happy to report that I have saved a lot of lives from the precipice of suicide - A LOT!  

What is interesting is that I can hold office and lead the country but I still can't go hunting?  I can't have a firearm for personal protection.  The crime I was convicted of is literally victimless, non-violent, did not involve use of a firearm in its commission and I am treated as though I robbed a bank or was a terrorist or something.  My sentence has been completed, I did all I was told to do in penance.  It was not a life sentence and yet I am serving a life sentence of denied constitutional rights.. the Second Amendment... when there is nothing justifying it.  

I am still seeking your support and help through this petition.  My intent is to demonstrate to the U.S. Pardon Attorney's Office that the citizens of the country agree with my request for clemency from the President.  Thank you all for your support in this endeavor.
