Hey everyone,
We’ve gathered over 1,500 signatures in less than two weeks! This is a strong show of support, but we can take this further. There are thousands of therapists in Ireland and countless others who care about mental health standards who need to hear about this.
Today, the petition was sent to CORU and the Minister for Health, letting them know we reached 1,500 signatures and urging them to listen to counsellors and psychotherapists.
Will they listen?
This petition isn’t coming from an accrediting body; it is grassroots, and our only way to make an impact and be heard is by sharing it online and starting conversations with people who can help.
Here’s how you can help right now:
- Share the petition with 5 people on WhatsApp or social media.
- Email your local TD and ask for their support, letting them know over 1,500 people are backing this.
- Contact your local paper to highlight the petition and raise awareness in your community.

Every share and message counts. Together, we can ensure counselling and psychotherapy in Ireland remain safe, ethical, and of the highest quality.
