Thanks to all who've signed this petition. I believe petitions DO Work. Fur farming, for example, is to be banned in Ireland..thanks in no small part to the petitions that so many people signed and that the Irish government could no longer ignore.
In time, hare coursing and fox hunting will follow it into the dustbin of history. As will, eventually, other forms of cruel ill-treatment and exploitation of animals that for too long have shamed our species and created a hell on earth for the creatures that share this planet with us.
In the meantime, thanks again for making a difference, even if sometimes progress appears to be painfully and frustratingly slow. But it's still progress, and the longest journey must ended sometime, somewhere.
