Aug 5, 2017
The Irish Council Against Blood Sports (ICABS) will hold a peaceful protest outside Kilkenny Greyhound Racing Track (on the Freshford Road, Kilkenny, near St. Luke's Hospital) on Friday, August 18th.
The protest aims to highlight the appalling cruelty of the Irish greyhound industry.
A greyhound's natural lifespan is around 14 years. Yet, the average racing greyhound lives to only three or four years. Many dogs are abandoned or killed, or exported to a hell on earth outside Ireland.
The protest commences at 6.15 pm and will run for about an hour. If you can make it for even a few minutes you'll be most welcome.
This will also be an opportunity to meet other animal protection campaigners, from around the county and beyond.
