Your support has meant the world as we’ve worked to bring the Legacy Mural to life at Young Woods Elementary, honoring Sgt. Cornel Young Jr., Charlotte Woods, and B. Jae Clanton.

The great news: we now have an official partnership in place, and the mural is scheduled to be completed by November 2025!

The challenge: We’ve hit one final hurdle. The original plan was for the mural to cover two walls that are 16 feet, 10 inches high—but due to unexpected costs, our current budget will only cover about 7 feet. Painting the full height is essential to honoring the students’ and artist’s vision, but it requires additional funds for materials, labor, and equipment—including the rental of a mechanical lift.

To move forward without reducing the size or cutting a wall, we need to raise $2,000–$5,000, with $5,000 as our target.
