Make Your Voice Heard: Support the Committee's Efforts for Presumptively Virtual Court Attendance

The Committee has assisted Professors Nicholas Bala (Queen’s Law), Rachel Birnbaum (Social Work at Kings University College - Western) and Claire Houston (Law at Western) in developing a survey to help understand the experiences of family lawyers as a result of the pandemic and the adoption of virtual technology in family court. The survey can be completed in less than 15 minutes, though there is space for more extensive comments. We expect that the survey can help inform the discussion surrounding presumptive hearings in family courts in Ontario.
We encourage you to share your thoughts and experiences through this survey:

We will provide our community with more updates on the Virtual Town Hall that we will be hosting this summer to share the results of this study and explore future policy initiatives.
I would like to continue to advocate on such issues as presumptively remote court hearings and improved access to justice by being elected in this year’s LSO Bencher Election . To learn more about how you can help support my Bencher campaign and these efforts, visit my campaign page.
Thank you for your continued support, and as always, the Committee is extremely appreciative of our community. Help us spread the word by sharing the the petition with your colleagues, family, and friends.
