Nicholas (Nick) Bala has been a law professor at Queen’s University since 1980 and is a leading expert on family and children’s law. His work is frequently cited by all levels of court, including the Supreme Court. Much of his research is interdisciplinary, including a present project on the effect of the pandemic on the evolution of Ontario’s family justice system and access to justice, being undertaken with Prof. Claire Houston (Law, UWO) and Dr. Rachel Birnbaum (Social Work, UWO).W
