Dear Supports,

Once again, thank you for your support—it means a lot. Would you be willing to share the petition with a few of your contacts? The more signatures we get, the stronger the message will be.

After four months of engagement with the Minister of Health's office, it seems there is no possibility of a meeting with the Minister. Not because he doesn't have time (I was happy to wait), but because it would not be appropriate—that's the response I was given.

However, the person I was dealing with within the Minister's office did something unexpected and went above and beyond my expectations. To protect them, I won't go into detail about what they did, but let's just say that they ruffled a few feathers in the process, and hopefully, something positive will come out of it.

Update from Middlemore

Last week, I received updated ERCP guidelines meant to reflect recommendations Middlemore accepted two years ago. I was pretty annoyed when I read the updated guidelines, as they did not reflect what was agreed to. So, we waited two years for guidelines to be updated; however, they were completely different from the recommendation that was accepted by Middlemore themselves!

This morning, I wrote to the chief medical Officer to express my dissatisfaction and ask him to get involved and resolve this issue. We will see what response I receive.

Kind regards,

Gareth
