What began as a mother’s grief after losing my son Henry has grown into something much larger: a global conversation about informed consent, patient safety, compassionate care, and the devastating ripple effects medication-related harm can leave behind.
This movement is no longer only about Henry.
It is also for Mark.
For Romain.
For the many suffering individuals and grieving families around the world whose lives were forever changed after taking prescribed medications in good faith.
Behind every story is a real human being:
A son.
A daughter.
A father.
A mother.
A friend.
Many trusted that they were making safe and informed decisions, only to later face severe physical, neurological, emotional, and psychological consequences that they never fully anticipated.
This is why conversations surrounding informed consent and iatrogenic harm matter so deeply.
Iatrogenic harm — injuries caused unintentionally through medical treatment or prescribed medications — is not a fringe issue. It is a growing public health conversation that deserves transparency, compassionate listening, further research, and honest risk communication.
We must also recognize that many individuals suffering from severe medication-related injuries are living through unimaginable daily challenges that deeply affect every part of their lives.
Many families have quietly become caregivers while carrying grief, confusion, helplessness, and heartbreak behind closed doors.
These individuals and families deserve compassionate care, recognition, research, and support — not dismissal, ridicule, or silence.
No one should have to fight to prove their suffering while also struggling to survive it.
This petition is not about fear or division.
It is about truth.
It is about awareness.
It is about protecting future generations through honest informed consent and patient-centered care.
No family should discover potential risks only after their lives have already been changed forever.
