The Gait D, with its can opener technology took the lacrosse world by storm and became controversial in its short life. Recently, an NCAA ruling committee has suggested banning any head with protrusions (aka the gait D) to preserve the traditional head shape of the crosse. I say that the protrusions are actually in line with the traditional lacrosse stick, specifically the “crook” of a traditional wooden lacrosse sticks used by the creators of the game was used to dislodge the ball or stick from their opponents. If you look at a traditional lacrosse stick, you will see the hook and realize that the gait d is closer to the roots of the game than any other head on the market. Thank you for your time
