Dear supporters of paid parental leave,

Thank you for signing.  For some of us, it's can feel charged and scary even, to take a stand and put your (my) name to something you (I) care about! 

If this is an issue close to home for you - particularly if you are a current or former staff member of PWS - I really encourage you to take up the letter-writing and conversations to support the positive change for paid parental leave at PWS.  Sharing the stories and impacts I have now personally heard and seen over the years is a great way to keep the energy up and move through the challenges associated with all changes in policy and the financial allocations involved in such matters.  Those making the decisions need to hear loud and clear what an important issue this is, gather ideas as to how to best address it, and be supported to take action.  

PWS now one of the largest Steiner schools in Australia and has the potential for a great ripple effect into other Steiner schools, in addition to supporting our own community.  I reiterate this is done in good faith and hope, for a positive move towards the manifest love and support of people in the crucial life-stage of childbearing.  May the rich and fruitful conversations of many years now come to fruition through supportive action in the realm of Paid Parental Leave for the Steiner educators and parents of the future.
