I am so heartened to have 1000+ signatures with so many of you sharing and promoting. Thank you. We have unanimous agreement that it makes no sense! 

I have been confounded at how it is so difficult to find where any accountability lies (just seen the hidden meaning there). 

Because this affects our community so significantly, I am hatching plans. More soon. I would like to send the comments to Sainsbury's Head Office and will have a template for anyone who would like to write to Sainsbury's CEO. I have heard that he does answer every question he is sent. I particularly want to write to the Sainsbury's area office marketing department. Their huge sign that they are making shopping easier by changing the parking limit to one hour makes me want to ... turn it round! I would like to organise something at the Sainsbury's in Surbiton so they know there is strong public opinion and well as make sure Kingston Council understand the parking policies are not serving the community.  It grieves me that the business of Car Parks is now being milked for profits rather than providing a service.
