Dear supporters,

I have not posted an update in a long time, but now write to inform you that Hamline University has just settled with Dr. Erika López Prater. Further information about the settlement is available on CBS and it is now breaking in other news outlets.

I wish to take this moment to pause and thank you for your unwavering support over the course of these past two years. Your voices were loudly heard, provided energy and strength, and no doubt helped effectuate change.

As I extend my heartfelt gratitude, I also wish to offer you a small token of my thanks: namely, a reaffirmation of the importance of education through this hands-on talk about Rashid al-Din's masterpiece and its prophetic paintings. This illustrated manuscript deserves our collective respect and protection, as does Islam's global artistic patrimony.
