Rent smart wales dismissing any action against landlord licence

I'm deeply disappointed by Rent Smart Wales' failure to hold landlords accountable for living conditions and regulations and laws breaches. Despite repeated attempts to address my case, they've allowed the landlord to renew their license, turning a blind eye to my living conditions. As well as local authorities prolonging, mishandling, ignoring my case this is a slap in the face for #tenantsrights 

 

I recently emailed Rent Smart Wales expressing my concerns, only to receive a phone call stating they can't withdraw the license or change the status back to pending,

They have approved new application after I advocated them not to till my case was reviewed. even though my case is not resolved, despite clear evidence of law breaches and regulations. This contradicts their own site, which states they can question licenses if landlords break the law. 

 

It's clear Rent Smart Wales prioritizes profit over tenants' rights. I won't give up. I'll continue fighting and take my case to my MP and the press office I will have my day of justice. "Fitness for Human Habitation: The Act introduced a new legal requirement for rented properties to be fit for human habitation at the beginning and throughout the tenancy. This includes ensuring that the property is free from hazards that could harm the health or safety of the occupants."

 

Present in property 

Damp, Mold and fungus in multiple rooms.

Water ingress in multiple rooms.

Unsafe electrics no Eic

No smoke alarm to comform with 2022 Act

Bathroom seal and bath panel defective 

Unfinished work by the landlord 

Rotten single glazed windows

Pest and Rodent 

Boundary fence fallen

Tile slip and missing on main roof

Poor pointing and need of pointing of chimney stacks

Flashing missing or failed on main roof and flat roof

Flat roof poorly constructed Rotten face borads and possibly internal. 

Poor external render blast cracked and of poor mix

Blast plaster in multiple rooms 

 

These are just a small summary of issues in the premises

"In the first instance you should contact your landlord / agent, in writing, bringing to their attention the problem. If you feel they do not respond appropriately, you can speak with the Environmental Health section of your local authority. They can inspect your property and demand the landlord / agent rectifies any issues that are significant enough to affect your health, safety or welfare. If your landlord / agent does not respond appropriately or resolve the conditions at hand, you should contact Rent Smart Wales and report this as they may be in breach of their licence conditions."
