In 2021 I was illegally evicted during a pandemic housing ban while awaiting cancer results and major surgery.

I was later assaulted in my own home.

That assault did not happen in isolation from the systems around me. It happened in the context of:

• Housing instability

• Medical vulnerability

• Digital environments with minimal safeguards

We are asking dating apps to:

• Strengthen identity verification

• Prevent banned users from rejoining

• Improve reporting transparency

• Introduce survivor-led safety reforms

• Be legally accountable for negligence

Women should not have to investigate their own safety before every date.

Technology has evolved.

Safety standards must evolve too.
