The Legislation Implementation & Hospitality Work Group will meet next Monday, September 18, 2023 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm to discuss proposed rule revisions. The Agenda & Discussion Topics / Questions and Proposed Rule Revisions are now available on the Annual Permanent Rulemaking Page of the Division's website.
PLEASE NOTE: The MED has decided to host an additional meeting to ensure we have enough opportunity for all voices to be heard regarding rule efficiencies and catch-all rule revisions. We will have an open discussion of Rule Efficiencies and Catch-All Rule Revisions on October 12, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The Division extends its appreciation to all interested parties willing to contribute their time and subject matter expertise to the Department of Revenue’s rulemaking process and encourages all interested parties to attend work group meetings. Work group meetings are open to the public and all interested parties can take an active role in the rulemaking process by attending work group meetings, offering oral comment during the public comment portion of the meetings, and by submitting written comments on proposed rules.
All scheduled work group meetings will be recorded and made available on the Division’s website. Further, materials and written comments submitted by stakeholders will help the Division identify work group discussion items, and all materials submitted by stakeholders will be incorporated in the Division’s rulemaking record to inform final proposed rules.
