We have just under 6,500 signatures and over 300 comments on the Petition – and it hasn’t even been a full month yet! Congress is starting to call for action. I encourage each of you to call or write a brief thank you to each of your Members of Congress who signed their names to the letters below (if one of them is not your Rep, please pick one to bless). This is the first and crucial step for them to act. With their names on the letters, we can keep them accountable to continue pressing on these issues. For those who didn’t put their names on the letters, we can press them for the reasons why not and encourage them to do this and more in the future.

This should not be a partisan issue by any stretch of the imagination. The legal issues exposed in the Whistleblower Report are a matter of Right and Wrong. Fun fact – for the religious claims, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) was proposed by Sen. Chuck Schumer and signed into Law by President Bill Clinton (that may be something worth mentioning to those in Congress who remain silent or somehow think this is a partisan fight).

In honor of Constitution Day this past Saturday, September 17th, here’s a quote from the Army:

Army forces reject and report illegal, unethical, or immoral orders or actions… There is a risk when disobeying what is perceived to be an unlawful or immoral order – and it may be the most courageous decision an Army professional ever makes.”
