SMCPS Update...Bathroom and Church Repairs Completed

Repairs Completed on Bathroom and Interior Church Wall The mission of the the SMCPS is to be certain that the charm, intimacy, paintings, sculptures, and artifacts of St. Michael’s Church exists for another 100 years as a channel of the Catholic Church’s salvation message. Part of this mission involves working with the Parish of St. Monica to maintain the Church. In the past several months the SMCPS funded and completed a major renovation of a school bathroom above the Church. The Parish of St. Monica also completed repairs on a wall below a stained glass window near the rear entrance of the Church. See attached photos. More importantly the SMCPS task is to welcome back old and new friends that want to renew their spiritual and cultural values that are inescapably linked to Historic St. Michael’s, Ducktown, and the City. It is for these reasons that it is up to us to care for St. Mikes- no matter where we live or worship. St. Mikes is our church and always will be. Stop by for a tour, attend Mass every Summer Sunday at 10:00 am or use it anytime for weddings, funerals, etc. or just a nostalgic visit. Be well and have a great July 4th Holiday! Bob
