Happy Thanksgiving St. Michael’s Church! Let’s mark this Thanksgiving as a special one with appreciation to each of you for your help to Save St. Michael’s Church. It was just about six months ago that the Bishop issued the decree to close St. Mikes. The Save St. Mikes effort began as the July 1 deadline passed and then another on August 9 and then on September 27 regular Sunday Masses stopped. With the cooperation of Fr. Jon Thomas, the new pastor, St. Mikes now has one Mass per month scheduled until June 2016. The St. Michael’s Church Preservation Society (SMCPS) is now scheduling open prayer time, historic Church tours, classes, lectures, recitation of the Rosary, as well as Baptisms, Funerals, and Weddings. St. Michael’s Church will not close. Together we are rebuilding and updating the social, cultural, historical, and spiritual meaning of the Church and its neighborhood. This is not an easy task because we have “forgotten” these treasures. We now realize what it means and that is what Thanksgiving is all about. All are invited to attend the 11:00 am Mass this Sunday Nov. 22 and join us after Mass for a "Thank You" coffee and dessert reception in Quaremba Hall. Deo Gratias, Robert Venafro
