Hello Everyone – This is a short update to mainly encourage all Area 3 parents and community members to apply for the open vacancy on the Area 3 Trustee seat. With nearly two years remaining in her term and critical budget decisions ahead, this appointment carries significant importance.

The application form can be found here. Deadline for submission is August 20th either via email (schrieferk@mhusd.org) or physical drop off at 15600 Concord Circle, Morgan Hill, CA 95037. 

Interviews and selection at the August 27th special board meeting 6pm at the DO.

In addition, I’ve formally requested the County of Santa Clara Registrar Of Voters to provide a more precise estimate of the cost for a March 2025 special election. The mentioned 500K by Kelly is not yet a verified cost. I will post an update when I have a more accurate cost.

Important to note, should the community reject the appointment for this seat, a petition signed by 1.5% of registered voters in Area 3 could terminate the appointment and advocate for a special election in March.
