On May 10, 2024 the Minister of the Ministry Municipal Affairs and Housing (Minister Calandra) sought comments on the changing of the CIHA requests to MZO's (see ERO Links below). The absurdity is beyond belief. If you have already signed the petition please consider taking the additional actions.
I was told initially that this item would come before Vaughan council as a result of the above changes. Today I learned that the Mayor plans to send a letter directly responding to the posting seeking comments. I have no idea if he supports or does not support the conversion of these requests to MZOs. I am very concerned that he will be using Strong Mayor powers to support these developments as MZO's in the absence of strong public opposition.
