Policy 5200, also known as the transportation policy, affects which children in Howard County do and don’t qualify to ride a school bus. It also covers the allowable distance between students’ homes and school bus stops. 

HCPSS is pursuing a review of Policy 5200 after many of our advocacy efforts highlighted student safety concerns.

We encourage all school bus advocates to apply.
